NICHOLAS MEE RACING

Nicholas Mee Racing. Winners, 2011 and 2009 Aston Martin Challenge, 2011 Britcar 24 hours 1st in class and 2nd overall. 

Following the formation of Nicholas Mee Racing in late 2008, the team campaigned its new 4.7-litre V8 Vantage GT4 in the manufacturer-backed 2009 Aston Martin Challenge – a series held within the popular Britcar GT Championship. With three consecutive class wins, plus 2nd and 3rd placings, NMR secured the inaugural 2009 AM Challenge Trophy with the final round in hand.

Further success has followed with a podium finish in the 2010 Dubai 24-hour race against a grid of over 70 cars including nine Aston Martin V8 Vantage GT4s and N24s. NMR's number one car finished 3rd in class, 18th overall and was the 2nd Aston Martin home, while the team's number two car also completed the 24 hours, underlining the Aston Martin V8 Vantage GT4's durability.   

Following victory in the inaugural Aston Martin GT4 Challenge of 2009 and intermittent participation in the series in 2010, including a 3rd place finish at the Season finale, Nicholas Mee Racing contested the full championship again in 2011.

The 2011 season in the Aston Martin GT4 Challenge was hard fought however Nicholas Mee Racing yet again won the champoinship outright, making NMR's GT4 car the most successful in history.

2011 also saw Nicholas Mee Racing return to the grueling Britcar 24 hours at Silverstone. A faultless performance by all four drivers and a faultless car, took the V8 Vantage to a first in class win and second overall. Please see a full report here...

After the race NMR’s jubilant Team Principal Nicholas Mee said, “Heroes all! In 24 hours of racing we had no driver errors, no car failings, no time penalties, no damage and a dream result, all of which comes on top of five race wins and victory in this year’s Aston Martin Challenge series! I’m immensely proud and appreciative of the whole team’s achievements. Big thanks to our drivers, sponsors, pit-crew and supporters who have all helped make a great racing season even greater.

2012 Calendar of Events 

Nicholas Mee Racing has yet to accounce the 2012 calendar. Please check back for further details or get in touch. The team is also able to offer its preparation services for customers wishing to race either V8 Vantage GT4 or N24 cars in endurance races, including the Aston Martin V8 Vantage GT4 Challenge, the British GT Championship or the Britcar Championship. We are able to provide car set up, techicial support, management and driver coaching.
